The San Fernando Valley Bruins request your support in
our endeavors to bring Bruins in the Valley closer together. Over the
past years, there have been game watching parties, theatre outings, group dinners and wine tastings and many
other events. We hope you were able to participate in and enjoy some of
these activities. While contibuting is not required to participate in any of the events, your annual contribution allows our group to operate. While some of the funds are used for expenses, the majority of your annual contribution (generally 75% or more) goes
towards providing UCLA Alumni scholarships to freshmen and community college transfers from
the Valley.
Because of the generosity of Valley Bruins, over
$70,000 in scholarships have been provided to UCLA students from the San
Fernando Valley. Additionally, a permanent endowment in the name of all San Fernando Valley Bruins
has been funded at the UCLA Alumni Association. As the cost of
going to UCLA continues to increase, your annual contribution is becoming
more and more important in order to support these deserving students and continue UCLA's tradition of excellence.
We hope the personal satisfaction of assisting students from the Valley
attend UCLA is enough to continue your annual contribution. In appreciation of your financial support,
annual contributors receive the following benefits.
- Reduced cost for events (Theatre tickets, Coaches Dinners, Wine Tastings, etc.)
- Access to special UCLA events
- Early notice of upcoming events
- Invitation to annual Holiday Party
- Preferred seating at events
- Notification of tickets to UCLA events (Football, Basketball, etc) offered by other Annual Contributors
- Quarterly Newsletter (in an effort to "Go Green," this year printed newsletters will be mailed only to
contributors on request or who are unable to receive them via email)
